The artist
Christopher Lawrence
A Maine artist and photographer with an eye for the coast, rural scenes, and the small details of a place. His painting moves from wide-open seascapes to close studies of the world around him.

The vibrant sky of a sunrise, waves breaking on rock, and the movement of a boat against a dock become starting points for paintings shaped by memory, color, and contrast.
